Hyderabad: Panic prevailed for some time at the All India Radio (AIR) station in Hyderabad after a bomb threat email was received on Tuesday.

As per information available, the sender had informed them in the mail of planting a total of 13 chemical bombs in the premises and would soon blow them off.

On receiving information from the AIR authorities, the police, along with bomb disposal squads and Dog Squad, reached the spot and took up intensive searches. The staff was advised to remain cautious as security teams carried out thorough inspections.

However, the staff breathed a sigh of relief only after confirmation that no explosives were found.

The police are investigating. Efforts are on to identify and nab the sender of the hoax mail.
