Hyderabad: The mini IPL auction for the upcoming season has created quite a buzz with Chris Morris running away with record price money of Rs 16.25 crore for Rajasthan Royals. New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell also landed some big money.
Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg felt Punjab Kings, earlier known as Kings XI Punjab, made a good decision by buying Dawid Malan. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said, “Malan for the Punjab Kings was a good buy. They need a batter and they got the best T20 batter in the world for a very cheap price. Mumbai Indians with Piyush Chawla, the third-highest wicket-taker in the competition and KKR with Harbhajan Singh, who is the fifth-highest wicket-taker and has got a good economy, too were good buys.”

“The smartest buy of the tournament was Nathan Coulter-Nile. They threw him back in the auction and got him back for a lot cheaper,” Brad Hogg added.
