Hyderabad: Brad Pitt is all set to step back into the music industry. The ‘Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood’ actor will partner with well-known music producer Damien Quintard to renovate and reopen Miraval Studios, the legendary recording studio at his French winery that hosted Pink Floyd, Sting, and The Cranberries, among others.
Damien said he “immediately clicked” with Brad after meeting him in Paris, as per ‘People’. “It was an intense moment where we just talked and talked about sound. I was amazed at how sensitive and precise he was in his analysis of music,” he said.
Miraval Studios (formally known as Studio Miraval) is a recording studio at Château Miraval, in Correns, in the south of France, situated in Provence near the French Riviera. It was originally created in 1977 by jazz pianist Jacques Loussier and sound engineer Patrice Quef.
As per ‘Just Jared’, the new space will include a significant portion of the original recording equipment and will also feature a desk personally designed by Brad and Damien. There’s also a tower connected to the studio where musicians can stay and other amenities, like access to the estate’s swimming pool and catering from the chefs.
Damien says the studio has “redefined a remarkable natural reverb so we can record voices or instruments anywhere in the studio. It really is a space where you can produce anything from pop and rock to hip-hop and classical records”.
Brad bought the vineyard with his then-wife Angelina Jolie in 2012 and they were married there in 2014. Brad and Angelina were also entangled in a legal battle over the estate after their divorce.
