Brain-dead Nalgonda man’s organs donated, save multiple lives

Family members of a 56-year-old Nalgonda man declared brain dead following a road accident donated his organs, including kidneys, liver, and corneas. The decision facilitated life-saving transplants, with Jeevandan officials praising the family’s humanitarian gesture.

Hyderabad: Family members of Perika Anjaiah, a 56-year-old male resident of Gurrampode, Nalgonda, who was declared brain dead, have donated his organs to needy patients.

On April 24, Anjaiah was walking on the road and was struck by a bus near Kanagal stage. He was admitted to a local hospital and later to a private hospital in Hyderabad. After four days of ICU treatment, his condition did not improve and doctors declared him brain dead on April 27.


Anjaiah’s son, Perika Srinath, made the decision to donate his father’s organs and five organs, including kidneys, liver and corneas, were retrieved and donated to needy patients. The Jeevandan officials extended their gratitude to the family of Perika Anjaiah, whose noble decision has saved lives.
