Siddipet: Braving heavy rains, Solipeta Sujatha, the TRS nominee for Dubbak by-election, campaigned relentlessly on Tuesday.

Accompanied by Medak MLA  M Padmadevendar Reddy, Forest Development Corporation Chairman, Vanteru Prathap Reddy, Former Minister, V Sunithalakshma Reddy and other TRS leaders, she campaigned at Gajulapally, Dommata, Muthyampet, Surampally, and Lingarajupally in Doulthabad Mandal during the morning hours.

Inspired by Sujatha’s spirit, a large number of villagers with umbrellas protecting them welcomed her and the TRS leaders. The entire campaign was carried out according to plan though these villages witnessed continuous rains throughout the day. Women welcomed her carrying bonams and Bathukammas in several various villages.

Speaking at her campaign meetings, Sujatha vowed that she will always be available to the people like her husband used to. Stating that Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy used to spend most of the time among the public rather than family, the TRS nominee said she will follow in the footsteps of her late husband. She urged the people to bless her by voting for the Car symbol in the by election.

MLA Padma Devendar Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was aiming at providing irrigation water to every acre in Telangana State to make farming profitable.

Explaining the priority given to the farm sector by the State government, she said Telangana was the only State in the entire country to extend free power supply to the farm sector round the clock.
