Brawl over Rs.2,000: Migrant worker murdered by colleague in Medak

The victim Pramod (40) and his co-worker Bittu, who migrated from north India in search of livelihood, were working as masons in and around Kallakal for a while.

Medak: A dispute over Rs.2,000 resulted in the murder of a migrant worker at Kallakal in Manoharbad mandal on Saturday night.

The victim Pramod (40) and his co-worker Bittu, who migrated from north India in search of livelihood, were working as masons in and around Kallakal for a while.


After boozing together on Saturday night, Bittu had a serious argument with Pramod demanding him return the Rs 2,000 that he owed him. The argument turned into a scuffle soon. In a fit of rage, Bittu attacked Pramod with a stick. Pramod died on the spot with serious head injuries.

The police took Bittu into custody. A case was registered.
