Brazil lithium mining firm invites Singareni to join as partner
Brazil-based company Companhia Brasileira de Lítio has invited Singareni Collieries Company Limited to partner in its lithium mining projects. During a meeting in Hyderabad, both sides discussed collaboration prospects, commercial viability and future opportunities in Brazil.

Peddapalli: Brazil’s leading company Companhia Brasileira de Lítio (CBL) has invited Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to join as a partner in its lithium mining operations in Brazil, signalling potential global expansion for the State-owned mining major.
A high-level delegation from CBL met SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Buddha Prakash Jyothi and senior officials at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday and extended the invitation for collaboration in lithium mining projects. Interacting with SCCL officials, CBL Board Director Daniel Leme and Chief Executive Officer Vinicius Alvarenga presented details about their company and ongoing lithium mining projects in Brazil. They explained that lithium is a critical mineral of global importance and said a partnership with Singareni, given its growing interest in critical minerals, would have a promising future. They also informed that discussions were under way with other leading companies in India regarding potential collaboration in lithium mining projects.
During the meeting, the CBL delegation elaborated on the global significance of lithium as a key mineral, particularly in emerging technologies, and highlighted its commercial viability and long-term strategic value.
On behalf of Singareni, Directors K Venkateswarlu (Projects and Planning) and Gowtham Potru (Personnel and Finance) shared details about the company’s profile, expertise and operational capabilities. Singareni officials said the company would examine the opportunities, feasibility and profitability of lithium mining prospects in Brazil before taking a final decision on entering into a partnership with CBL.
