Hyderabad: Hyderabad experienced a breezy, cloudy Saturday, unlike the usual hot and dry afternoons that the city usually sees in May every year.
While the Indian Meterological Department (IMD) recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8 degree Celsius on Friday, most areas in the city saw temperatures a couple of degrees lesser, hovering between 32 and 35 degree Celsius. The city also saw a decent cloud cover accompanied by breezes that cooled the weather down.
According to the data of Telangana State Planning Development Society (TSPDS), the automatic weather station (AWS) at Cantonment area recorded a light rainfall of 4 mm but apart from that, the city remained largely dry, as other places didn’t see any rain, unlike Friday.
The minimum temperature recorded was 24.8 degree Celsius and IMD forecasts a similar minimum temperature over the next few days, with the possibility of it reaching 25-26 degree Celsius towards May 18.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 37-39 degree Celsius during the next few days with evening rain or thundershowers being forecast till May 19.
TSPDS also forecasts a similar weather pattern, with light-to-moderate rain expected over the next two days.
