Hyderabad: A newly wed woman allegedly decamped with cash and jewelry from her in-laws’ house in Yacharam of Rangareddy district.

Police said the 40-year-old man had recently married the woman from Vijayawada and brought her to his house in Yacharam. For the wedding, he bought gold ornaments, which were kept in an almirah.

On Saturday, she asked her husband to get some medicines for her. When he returned, his wife was missing along with the valuables in the almirah.

He approached the Yacharam police on Sunday and lodged a complaint. The police are investigating.
