Hyderabad: Former Minister and BRS MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy slammed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for colluding with the BJP and emerging as Telangana’s biggest enemy. He held Revanth Reddy responsible for weakening the Congress from within and support the BJP indirectly in the State.

Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, Prashanth Reddy said Revanth Reddy deliberately fielded weak Congress candidates in the recent Lok Sabha polls to ensure BJP victories in key constituencies like Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, and Karimnagar. Similarly, the BJP leaders are reciprocating by defending the Chief Minister better than the Congress leaders.

“Revanth Reddy and the BJP are playing a fixed match,” the BRS MLA charged, stating that the BJP is also protecting Revanth Reddy from the cash-for-vote case and also alleged “RR tax” (Rahul-Revanth Reddy tax), despite Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi himself making the allegations in public. He questioned why there are no CBI and ED investigations against Revanth despite serious allegations. He felt that the BJP is offering silent support.

Reminding about Revanth Reddy’s recent remarks of being part of RSS and TDP in the past, Prashanth Reddy said while Revanth Reddy does not get Rahul Gandhi’s appointment, but is welcomed by Modi without any hassles.

He came down heavily on the Chief Minister for neglecting Telangana’s interests, pointing to delays in Rythu Bima farmer insurance payments, lack of housing progress, and failure to act on major irrigation issues like Kaleshwaram. He warned Congress leaders to be cautious, as Revanth Reddy will eventually sink the party.
