BRS celebrates Telangana Formation Day with patriotic fervour

Hyderabad: The BRS marked the State Formation Day with grand celebrations across Telangana and abroad on Monday. Party senior leaders, MLAs, MLCs, and activists gathered in large numbers at the party headquarters in Telangana Bhavan, where Opposition Leader in the Council S Madhusudhana Chari along with former Minister and senior MLA T Harish Rao, hoisted the national flag, BRS flag and paid floral tributes to Telangana Thalli statue, Prof K Jayashankar, and Telangana martyrs.
Leaders including P Sabita Indra Reddy, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Mallareddy, MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, and former MP Vinod Kumar participated in the spirited event, which included slogans honouring martyrs and celebrating KCR’s leadership.
The atmosphere was charged with patriotic slogans, drum beats, and cheers as leaders cut a commemorative cake to mark the occasion. Similar festive atmosphere prevailed in all the party offices across the district, mandal and constituency headquarters.
BRS MLC K Kavitha unfurled the national and Telangana Jagruthi flags at the new Jagruthi office in Banjara Hills. She paid tributes to families who lost their children in the movement and criticised the current Congress government especially Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for failing to even raise the slogan of “Jai Telangana”.
BRS leaders led events in Melbourne, Malaysia and other parts of the world. In Australia, former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav hailed K Chandrashekhar Rao’s governance and predicted a strong return for BRS. BRS NRI Malaysia president Maruthi Kurma paid homage to Telangana martyrs and emphasised the need for taking the Telangana model nationwide.
