BRS celebrates Vijay Diwas across erstwhile Karimnagar
BRS activists celebrated Vijay Diwas across the erstwhile Karimnagar district with tributes to Telangana martyrs and palabhishekam ceremonies. Party leaders recalled the importance of December 9 in the Telangana movement and the announcement of the separate State process.

Karimnagar: Vijay Diwas was celebrated on a grand scale across the erstwhile Karimnagar district by BRS activists on Tuesday.
MLAs, district presidents and party workers participated in celebrations held in Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jagtial and Rajanna-Sircilla districts. BRS workers paid tributes to Telangana martyrs and performed palabhishekam to portraits of Telangana Thalli.
District president G V Ramakrishna Rao, town president Challa Harishankar and others took part in the event at Telangana Chowk in Karimnagar, while Korutla MLA Dr K Sanjay Kumar participated in Korutla town. Peddapalli district president Korukanti Chander joined the celebrations at Godavarikhani.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders said December 9 marked a milestone in the separate Telangana agitation, recalling that the then union government announced commencement of the process for formation of a separate State following the fast-unto-death by BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao.
