Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy accused that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) had conspired to ensure that the Bhu Bharathi Bill did not pass in the Assembly and had deliberately created a ruckus.

The BRS members walked out fearing that the faults in Dharani portal would be exposed. They were also worried that government may order for a new probe against them and wanted to disrupt the proceedings in the House, he charged.

As demanded by the BJP members, the Ministers had decided to order a forensic audit on the irregularities committed under Dharani portal, he said, adding that the portal was not a brainchild of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as in 2010, Odisha government had already launched e- Dharani system.

Speaking about the Telangana Bhu Bharathi Bill in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said the BRS insisted for a discussion on formula e – race only to divert the attention from the Bill.

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting was conducted involving the BRS members but they did not demand for a discussion on formula e – race during the meeting and were insisting on the issue with ulterior motives, he said.

Reminding that ACB investigation into irregularities in formula e – race was on and a petition was filed in the High Court, the Chief Minister said it would not be wise for him to speak on the matter.

“It is not a matter of transferring Rs.55 crore but plans were made to transfer Rs.600 crore. I managed to stop the money transfer and saved Rs.545 crore public money,” Revanth Reddy said in the Assembly.

Admitting that he had met FEO company representative and taken a picture of the meeting, the Chief Minister said he was prepared for a debate on e –race and would share all the details.

Raising serious objection over the BRS members’ protests and sloganeering in the House, the Chief Minister said to Speaker G Prasad Kumar that time had come for him to decide on what action should be taken against those, who disrupting the proceedings.

After AIMIM Floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, BJP Floor leader A Maheswar Reddy and CPI MLA K Sambasiva Rao made a few recommendations to the government over the bill, the Speaker announced that the Bhu Bharati Bill was passed. He adjourned the House to meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
