Hyderabad: BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank demanded immediate construction of 6,000 Indiramma houses on eight acres in Survey No. 157/1 in the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency. He led a protest by party leaders at the site, displaying placards and raising slogans against the Congress government over its failure to implement its housing promise.
Addressing the gathering, Krishank said the Congress government was bringing disrepute to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by announcing schemes in her name without implementing them. He said the Congress government had completed 1,000 days in office but failed to fulfil its promises.
He accused the government of pursuing land dealings for commissions using government land, while farmers, women, youth and employees faced difficulties under its rule. He reiterated that the BRS would continue to raise the government’s failures and fight until welfare benefits reached all eligible people.
