Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Wednesday demanded an immediate halt to the sale of industrial lands and a transparent inquiry into undervaluation practices.

Addressing the media, BRS official spokesperson Krishank Manne termed the policy a “well-orchestrated scam” designed to transfer valuable public assets to private players at throwaway prices, severely compromising future industrial growth and employment prospects in the state.

He alleged that a 2,800 sq. yards government land parcel worth over Rs 50 crore was listed for just Rs 7 crore as part of the Revanth Reddy government’s land loot scandal under the controversial Hyderabad Industrial Land Transfer Policy (HILTP).

He explained that the 2,800-square-yard land parcel was located in a prime industrial area, abutting a main road and flanked by established industries on both sides. Realtors have already started openly advertising these high-value government lands at a fraction of their real worth.

This is not an isolated incident but part of a systematic pattern under the Congress government’s HILTP, Krishank alleged. He claimed that lands originally allotted decades ago for setting up industries and generating large-scale employment are now being quietly diverted into the real estate market, benefiting select private individuals while depriving the state of its industrial ecosystem.
