BRS founded 25 years ago made Telangana dream a reality: Harish Rao
Former Minister T Harish Rao emphasised that Telangana’s statehood would not have been possible without the formation of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in 2001. He extended greetings to activists, cadres, and citizens on the party’s 25th foundation day.
Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao said that the dream of Telangana would not have been realised until today if the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was not founded 25 years ago on April 27, 2001.
Addressing the gathering after participating in a spiritual programme in Duddeda near Siddipet on Sunday, Harish Rao said that Telangana people would not have led a life with self-respect today unless the BRS founder K Chandrashekhar Rao launched the Telangana movement two-and-a-half decades ago.
Stating that getting Kaleshwaram water and the creation of Siddipet district were only possible with the creation of Telangana, Rao hailed Chandrashekhar Rao for leading the 14-year-long movement from the front.
The former minister, who played a vital role in the movement, said BRS ignited the Telangana spirit among the people and attracted the participation of masses in the agitation. He greeted the activists of the Telangana movement, BRS cadres and people of the state on the occasion of 26th foundation day of the party.
