Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) continues to be the top choice for voters during surveys in the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency, with the Hyderabad-based consulting company Billion Connect Private Limited’s fresh survey report indicating that the Muslim community’s support for the party increased from 46.1 to 50.90 percent in a span of nearly 10 days.

The Muslim Sentiments Survey was conducted across 48 polling stations in 23 areas of the constituency covering 7,659 respondents between November 1 and 8.

When asked which party they would vote for if Jubilee Hills assembly bypoll was held tomorrow, 50.90 percent respondents gave an emphatic yes to BRS, while 43.94 percent favoured the Congress party.

This support for the BRS stood at 46.1 percent and 23.9 percent for the Congress when the same question was posed during a similar Muslim Sentiments survey conducted by the same agency within the constituency between October 10 and 21.

In the latest round of survey, 50.25 percent respondents felt BRS would be victorious in the bypoll, while 41.20 percent respondents expected the Congress party to win. The same trend was extended at the State level, where 52.25 percent said the BRS would win the next assembly elections in 2028.

In the major GHMC divisions – Shaikpet, Erragadda and Rahmath Nagar, more than 50 percent of the respondents extended their voting preference to the BRS. Further, 45.71 percent respondents described themselves as traditional supporters of the BRS, while the Congress had a 37.73 percent traditional voter base.

The survey revealed that there was a growing sentiment against the incumbent Congress government, with 44.64 percent expressing their dissatisfaction with the ruling dispensation.

As for the performance of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath, whose recent demise necessitated the November 11 bypoll, 59.33 percent respondents expressed satisfaction.

Similarly, 58.79 percent respondents rated BRS as the best for Telangana’s development and 55.90 percent people responded that the BRS was the best for maintaining religious harmony.

On being asked who was their favourite leader, K Chandrashekhar Rao, Rahul Gandhi, Asaduddin Owaisi or Revanth Reddy, 50.64 percent preferred Chandrashekhar Rao and only 18 percent liked Rahul Gandhi. Revanth Reddy was favoured by only 10.24 percent.
