Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at the under-construction Mindvault corporate school in Kompally as BRS leader Manne Krishank led party cadres to the site on Monday, alleging violations of construction norms. He also questioned the proposed fee structure and business interests allegedly linked to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s family.
Speaking to mediapersons, Krishank said the school, coming up on land in Survey No. 87 in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, lacked even a playground despite being promoted as an international school. He questioned the management for opening admissions for the next academic year on its website before completing construction and proposing a fee of Rs 2.5 lakh per student.
The BRS leader demanded that the Chief Minister explain the alleged business interests of his daughter, Naimisha Reddy, in Mindvault and the company’s reported plans to establish 50 schools across States. He also alleged that several directors associated with Mindvault held positions in Medicover Hospitals and Maxbien Pharma, which he claimed were also linked to the Chief Minister’s family. He sought answers from the Congress government over the alleged common directorships.
Krishank said the BRS had been raising questions about the companies for nearly 10 days but had received no response from the Chief Minister or the Congress government. He demanded a probe into the alleged links and questioned whether there was a conflict of interest. He said the BRS was not opposed to private investment or development but would continue to question the alleged misuse of public office.
