Siddipet: BRS leader Manthena Bal Reddy sustained injuries after Congress leaders led by Kamidi Jeevan Reddy attacked him during a gram sabha at Narsaipally in Maddur mandal on Wednesday. While the meeting was under way, Congress leader and Cheriyal marketing committee vice-chairman Kamidi Jeevan Reddy handed the mike to Jangaon DCC president Kommuri Prathap Reddy, who contested the Jangaon Assembly election for a losing cause in 2023. BRS leaders opposed this move, pointing out that Prathap Reddy held no position. Jeevan Reddy then intervened and picked up an argument.

In the heat of the moment, Jeevan Reddy attacked Bal Reddy. The police put BRS leader and former MPP Baddipaduga Krishna Reddy under house arrest to control the situation. The cadre from both the parties threw chairs at each other causing chaos.
