Hyderabad: BRS leader Dasoju Sravan on Thursday condemned Minister Konda Surekha’s recent remarks, calling them abhorrent to politics. He said she was insulting the film industry for political gain and demanded that Surekha be removed from the State Cabinet.

“Why hasn’t Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy responded to Konda Surekha’s comments?” Sravan asked, while addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday.

Sravan also raised questions over the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on the properties of Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, asking the investigation agency to disclose the cash and other valuables recovered. He said it was rumoured that around Rs 1,600 crore and a significant amount of gold were found at the Minister’s residence during the raids. The BRS leader stated that a secret meeting was held between Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Gautam Adani, and Congress strategist Sunil Kanugolu at a luxury hotel here following the raids. He questioned whether the Minister was attempting to escape ED scrutiny through Adani’s influence. He raised suspicions about the connection between Congress leaders and BJP-linked businessmen.

Sravan also said Revanth Reddy was trying to damage his own party, specifically criticising his actions related to the HYDRAA Ordinance. Despite the High Court’s warning, he pointed out that Revanth Reddy pushed forward with the ordinance, which was later approved by the Governor. He also condemned the lack of transparency in the Musi River beautification project, questioning why no consultation was held with local MLAs.

He also said the Chief Minister was orchestrating specific attacks targeting BRS working president KT Rama Rao, former Minister T Harish Rao and other senior BRS leaders in a planned manner.
