Hyderabad: BRS leader G Deviprasad criticised the Congress government for failing to fulfill its promises to State government employees during its first year in power. He said the Congress had cheated employees by ignoring critical demands.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, Deviprasad cited the Congress government’s unfulfilled promise to address GO 317 within 48 hours of assuming office. “The Cabinet sub-committee’s report after six months is meaningless, ignoring the key issue of nativity (local status),” he said. He added that affected employees are still seeking justice, but the Chief Minister has not given them a hearing.

The BRS leader accused the government of neglecting basic employee welfare, including pending arrears of over Rs 3,000 crore, unresolved DAs and PRC issues, and the non-issuance of health cards. “Even salaries are delayed to some employees, notwithstanding the Chief Minister’s claims,” he noted.
