Hyderabad: BRS leader Manne Krishank launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over his recent Davos visit, alleging that the agreements signed during the trip lack substance and credibility. He charged the Chief Minister with turning Davos visit into a comedy circus, stating that many agreements were signed with non-existent or bogus companies.

“The government must release a white paper on past investments and their materialisation on the ground. Revanth Reddy is just juggling numbers to make empty claims,” he said.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, Krishank pointed out several discrepancies, stating that none of last year’s claim of Rs 40,000 crore in investments, has been materialised. “Agreements with companies like Adani, JSW, and Uber are mere expressions of interest. Even Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has admitted it,” he noted.

The BRS leader ridiculed the Chief Minister’s Davos visit, for reducing the agreements to “destination investments” on the lines of destination weddings. He said Davos meetings were a façade, citing instances like signing agreements with a person falsely presented as Dilip Shangvi, the Managing Director of Sun Petrochemicals.

“How can the Chief Minister peddle such information? How can he sign agreements for the establishment of pumped storage Hydropower projects without a proper energy policy which was again admitted by the Deputy Chief Minister?” he questioned.

Taking a dig at Revanth’s inconsistency, Krishank reminded that while in the opposition, the latter criticised these investments to be benefiting only companies, not the people.

“Now, he boasts about Amazon investments, which were a result of former Minister KT Rama Rao’s efforts during former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s rule,” he said. He reminded that Telangana’s development, including improved electricity systems and tech investments, was the legacy of BRS leadership.

Krishank also raised concerns over questionable dealings, including discussions with the representatives of Pakistan-linked Meinhardt and also Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) whom Revanth Reddy as TPCC president likened it to the British’s East India Company. “Revanth Reddy’s attempts to overshadow BRS achievements with false claims, will not deceive the people of Telangana,” he asserted.
