Hyderabad: BRS leader Manne Krishank on Wednesday lodged a police complaint against Congress MLA Sri Ganesh, alleging that he instigated an attack on the Bowenpally police station following the arrest of BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao.
According to the complaint, Rama Rao was arrested on Tuesday and taken to the Bowenpally police station as part of a conspiracy. Krishank alleged that, acting on the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the MLA had contacted his personal assistant, photographer and followers and instructed them to attack the police station.
Krishank, along with other BRS leaders, approached the police and sought registration of a case against Sri Ganesh under provisions relating to abetment of crime and organised crime.
The BRS leaders alleged that the MLA’s actions amounted to an attempt to provoke violence and disrupt law and order at the police station.
They urged the police to investigate the alleged phone calls and take appropriate legal action against those involved.
