BRS leaders arrested ahead of Revanth Reddy’s tour to Mancherial
In Kotapalli mandal center, BRS leader Manishetti Vidyasagar was forcibly confined to his residence early in the morning ahead of Reddy’s tour. Later, he was taken to Kotapalli police station.
Mancherial: Leaders of BRS were arrested prior to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s tour to Mancherial town in different parts of the district on Monday.
In Kotapalli mandal centre, BRS leader Manishetti Vidyasagar was forcibly detained at his residence early in the morning in view of Reddy’s tour. He was shifted to Kotapalli police station.
Vidyasagar slammed the government for arresting leaders of the BRS. He said that it was trying to suppress the voice of the activists of Telangana movement. He alleged that it was indulging in the act as it could not digest growing dissent of the public. He stated that arrests were not new to him and cadres achieved Telangana by facing such oppression.
Meanwhile, the cadres of the BRS were arrested in connection with Revanth Reddy’s campaign for Adilabad-Nizamabad-Medak-Karimnagar MLC graduate candidate Narender Reddy in Srirampur. Leaders Pambala Ravi, MD Rafeeq Khan and Santosh were detained and housed in Srirampur police station.
