Hyderabad: A complaint was lodged against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for allegedly making derogatory comments against former Chief Minister and BRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao at Petbasheerabad police station here on Friday.
Members of the BRS party including MLA KP Vivekanand Goud, Marri Rajshekhar Reddy and MLA Shambhipur Raju in their complaint alleged that Revanth Reddy had recently during his speech made derogatory comments, which hurt their sentiments and also crossed the line of political discourse.
They further said that such inflicting speeches promote violence and hatred between two political parties, particularly members of the BRS party.
The Petbasheerabad police said the facts in the complaint are being verified and that based on evidence, necessary action will be taken.
