Hyderabad: Coming down heavily on the Congress government in the State, BRS leaders Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Dasoju Sravan said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy had misled the house on multiple counts during the just concluded assembly session. They accused them of spreading falsehoods and undermining the democratic values of the state.

Addressing a news conference at Telangana Bhavan, Lakshmaiah accused Revanth Reddy of feudalistic behaviour and misleading the public on various issues, including the Lagacherla incident.

He criticized the Chief Minister for making false statements on State debts and failing to respect the democratic process. Lakshmaiah highlighted the Congress government’s failure to address the concerns of farmers and the general public.

He urged them to honour the democratic values and stop misleading the people. He also pointed out the inconsistency in Revanth Reddy’s stance on discussing court cases in the assembly, questioning why some cases were discussed while others were not.

Dasoju Sravan emphasized that the assembly is a sacred temple of democracy where justice, righteousness, and constitutional commitment should prevail.

He accused Revanth Reddy of murdering democracy and the constitution by diverting discussions in the assembly to irrelevant issues, avoiding critical topics like Rythu Bharosa besides other key issues including loan waivers, unemployment, and the plight of BCs, SCs, and STs.

He criticized the Congress government for not addressing the issues of farmers, who are still struggling without the promised Rythu Bharosa and loan waivers.

He also pointed out the lack of discussion on the exploitation by figures like Gautam Adani and the challenges faced by students in Gurukuls.

Sravan questioned Revanth Reddy’s intentions, accusing him of targeting the film industry and actor Allu Arjun without any substantial reason.

He condemned the CM for not providing ex-gratia to the family of Revathi, who died under tragic circumstances, and for making baseless allegations against BRS working president KT Rama Rao.
