Hyderabad: The BRS Legal Cell has come out strongly in defence of BRS Social Media convenor Manne Krishank after he faced legal notices from Meinhardt, following his allegations against the company regarding a contract for preparing a detailed project report on Musi River rejuvenation and beautification project. Krishank stated that the government bypassed the tender procedures to award the contract to Meinhardt.

Responding on behalf of Krishank, the BRS Legal Cell stated that he would neither apologise nor retract his social media posts, as demanded by Meinhardt. Citing evidence, Krishank accused the company of having a tainted history, including a red warrant from Pakistan’s Interpol, as well as blacklisting by the Airport Authority of India and the Jharkhand government.

In its response, the BRS Legal Cell stated that the allegations were factual and supported by documented cases against Meinhardt. They also pointed out the irregular awarding of the contract, suggesting favouritism towards the company despite other firms quoting lower bids. Krishank, as a leader of the opposition and a social media convenor, has the right to question and challenge such public deals, the Legal Cell stated.

The BRS Legal Cell also dismissed Meinhardt’s legal notices as intimidation tactics and declared its readiness to fight the case in court, standing by Krishank’s right to scrutinise and expose irregularities in public contracts.
