Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) lodged a complaint with the Assembly’s Ethics Committee over Congress MLA from Shadnagar, Veerlapally Shankar, who stated that he was praying for the death of BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Former Legislative Affairs Minister and Balkonda MLA V Prashanth Reddy wrote a letter to the Ethics Committee Chairman on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Veerlapally Shankar, while speaking to the media outside the Assembly, made objectionable remarks against the BRS president. Despite being a legislator, he was praying for the Leader of Opposition’s death and this was highly condemnable, Prashanth Reddy stated. He urged the Ethics Committee to examine videos of Veerlapally Shankar and initiate stern action against him.
