BRS marks State Formation Day with grand celebrations across Telangana, abroad
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi celebrated Telangana State Formation Day across Telangana and in several countries abroad. Party leaders led tributes to Telangana martyrs, honoured movement activists and highlighted the State’s achievements during programmes held in India and overseas.

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) celebrated Telangana State Formation Day with enthusiasm across Telangana and in several countries abroad on Tuesday, with party leaders, elected representatives and cadres paying tributes to Telangana martyrs and recalling the achievements of the State since its formation.
At Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, BRS working president KT Rama Rao hoisted the National Flag and paid floral tributes to the statues of Telangana Talli, Prof K Jayashankar and Telangana martyrs. He also felicitated Telangana folk singers on the occasion.
Senior leaders, including MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, MLCs Deshapathi Srinivas and Dasoju Sravan, former Ministers Mohd Mahmood Ali, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Errabelli Dayakar Rao, BRS general secretaries Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and RS Praveen Kumar, among others, participated in the celebrations.
The party headquarters witnessed a festive atmosphere, with slogans, drum beats and large-scale participation by party workers. Similar programmes were organised at district, constituency and mandal headquarters across the State, where BRS leaders hoisted the National Flag, honoured Telangana movement activists and martyrs’ families, and distributed food and fruits to the needy.
The celebrations also extended overseas, with Telangana Formation Day events organised by BRS NRI units and Telangana associations across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Major programmes were held in countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, France, Australia, New Zealand, Bahrain, South Africa and Tanzania.
