BRS MLAs defend Jagadish Reddy amidst Congress allegations
Addressing the media persons at the media point, they asserted that Reddy had not used any unparliamentary language in the Assembly nor demeaned the Speaker, G Prasad Kumar
Hyderabad: In a strong defense, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs, including Talasani Srinivas Yadav and V Prashant Reddy said that MLA and former minister G Jagadish Reddy was being deliberately targeted by the treasury benches and the hue and cry raised against him has no valid reason.
Addressing the media persons at the media point, they asserted that Reddy had not used any unparliamentary language in the Assembly nor demeaned the Speaker, G Prasad Kumar.
The BRS leaders accused Congress MLAs of targeting Jagadish Reddy without cause, suggesting that the Congress members were creating issues out of trivial matters. They emphasised their party’s cooperation in the unanimous election of G Prasad Kumar as Speaker, highlighting the respect and importance they have accorded to the Speaker’s chair.
The Chief Minister’s call for proactive engagement by Congress members at the CLP meeting was cited as a possible reason for the reactions which are uncalled for. The BRS reiterated its commitment to maintaining decorum and addressing issues constructively within the legislative framework.
