“The previous BRS government had prepared a plan to take up various developmental works with Rs 1,000 crore. Either continue the old plan or come up with a better one but the development of the shrine should not be stalled,” she said.
The MLC was speaking after having the darshan of the presiding deity and performed special prayers on Sunday evening. Later, speaking to media persons, she said that the BRS government had taken up various developmental works in the last ten years.
Earlier, drinking water was a big problem in the shrine. A permanent solution was found by laying a separate pipeline from the SRSP flood flow canal by spending Rs 25 crore. Around 350 acres of temple lands were also remarked, she further said.
Stating that it was the responsibility of the government to develop the temple, she wanted the Congress government to continue work.
Devotees would take Hanuman diskhas from April. So, the government should complete all the pending work. Kavitha found fault with the government for least bothering about the approach road despite BRS leaders’ efforts during the last one year.
