Hyderabad: BRS MLC K Kavitha on Thursday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP over the Adani scandal, questioning the Centre’s stance on the issue. She slammed the union government for shielding industrialist Gautam Adani, while not thinking twice before arresting political rivals.

In her first public comments since her release from jail, Kavitha raised serious allegations, questioning the Centre’s selective justice in initiating action against Adani, despite repeated allegations against him. She pointed out how swift action was taken against individuals including women, even without evidence, while the union government was reluctant to act against Adani despite having enough evidence.

“Why this selective justice? Is there a different law for Adani and a women like me in this Akhand Bharat (India)?” she asked, citing her arrest without any concrete evidence.
