Hyderabad: The BRS on Friday moved an adjournment motion in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, demanding an immediate discussion on the acute urea shortage in the state.
BRS working president and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao, along with MLAs Gangula Kamalakar and Dr K Sanjay, urged Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to set aside the listed agenda and allow a short discussion on the issue.
They pointed to severe difficulties faced by farmers due to non-availability of urea and alleged failure of both the State and Central governments to ensure adequate stocks during the crucial Yasangi (Rabi) season.
