Hyderabad: BRS Rajya Sabha MP and Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra on Wednesday strongly condemned the Congress government in Telangana for what he described as “vindictive and politically motivated” actions against BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao in connection with the Formula E-Race event.
Speaking to the media, Ravichandra asserted that the Formula E-Race held in Hyderabad was conducted with complete transparency and that no corruption or irregularities took place. “Despite the event being clean, the Congress government is resorting to vengeance by filing false cases against our party’s working president K. T. Rama Rao. This is highly deplorable,” he said.
The BRS leader accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of deliberately tarnishing K. T. Rama Rao’s image and indulging in political vendetta. “ Rama Rao worked day and night to elevate Hyderabad’s brand image globally. Instead of appreciating his efforts, the CM is fabricating cases and trying to damage his reputation through political revenge,” Ravichandra alleged. He further claimed that the Congress government appears to have made it, its sole agenda to silence K. T. Rama Rao, who has been aggressively exposing the “anti-people policies” of the ruling party. “By filing cases, launching attacks, issuing threats, and creating hurdles, they want to lower the dignity and prestige of the BRS working President. But Revanth Reddy should know that such tactics will not succeed,” the MP stated.
Ravichandra warned that intimidation and false cases will not demoralise BRS cadres. “No amount of attacks, threats, or fabricated cases can shake the morale and spirit of BRS workers,” he declared, adding that the party has full faith in the judiciary and will fight the “illegal cases” against K. T. Rama rao in court. The BRS has consistently maintained that the Formula E-Race event, organised during its previous tenure, followed all due procedures and brought international recognition to Hyderabad.
