Hyderabad: With her opponents yet to get their act together, BRS nominee Maganti Sunitha has taken a lead in the campaign in the by-election for the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency.

Sunitha has already taken to voter outreach, urging them to put their weight behind her the same way they did for her husband, Maganti Gopinath and elected him in three successive elections.

Meanwhile, independent candidates who filed their nominations are expected to roll out their campaigns after being allotted free symbols at the end of nominations, scrutiny, and withdrawals.

The campaign is also expected to pick up pace after the Diwali festival on Monday.

The last date for filing the nominations is on November 21 and the withdrawal, is November 24.
