BRS organises 2K run in Suryapet to mark 10 years of district formation
The BRS organised a 2K run in Suryapet to mark 10 years since the district’s formation. Party leaders highlighted infrastructure projects, irrigation facilities and development works, while former MLA Gadari Kishore Kumar credited decentralisation with bringing administration closer to people.

Nalgonda: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) organised a 2K run in Suryapet on Saturday to mark the completion of 10 years since the formation of Suryapet district.
The two-kilometre run was held from Saddala Cheruvu to the new bus stand in Suryapet. Party workers turned up in large numbers from the Suryapet, Tungaturthi, Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies.
Former MLAs Dr Gadari Kishore Kumar and Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, former MP Lingaiah Yadav, former ZP chairperson Deepika Yugender Rao, Huzurnagar constituency in-charge Onteddu Narasimha Reddy and others participated in the event.
BRS leaders said Suryapet had witnessed significant development since the district was formed. They said the BRS government had established the District Collectorate, SP office, medical college, Tank Bund, integrated market and residential schools. They also highlighted the introduction of SRSP water to the region and said development works worth Rs 6,000 crore had been executed across the constituencies.
Former Tungaturthi MLA Gadari Kishore Kumar said former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had created new districts with the vision of promoting development. Suryapet district, in particular, had made significant progress, bringing administration closer to the people, he said.
He added that decentralisation had helped extend the benefits of welfare schemes and development to the most marginalised sections of society. The creation of new districts had ushered in a new era, making Telangana a role model for the country, he said.
