Hyderabad: Former Minister V Srinivas Goud lambasted Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of negligence in the SLBC tunnel accident and secretly aligning with the BJP for political survival. He criticised Revanth Reddy for failing to deliver on governance despite becoming the Chief Minister at a young age.

“Everywhere he goes, Revanth Reddy is habituated to criticise former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, notwithstanding the occasion and location. He came to Wanaparthy, where he studied, and still had nothing to offer. His tenure has been nothing short of a disaster,” he said.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, Srinivas Goud ridiculed the Chief Minister’s claims that BRS was responsible for the SLBC accident. He wondered whether the Congress or the BRS was ruling the State.

“If the opposition BRS is to blame, is it also responsible for the sinking of the Vattem pump house, the Pedda Vagu project, and the collapse of Sunkishala project retaining wall? Instead of taking up responsibility, the Chief Minister is busy playing the blame game,” he said.

Taking on Revanth Reddy’s alleged BJP connection, the former Minister stated that the former has visited Delhi 37 times, but has brought nothing to Telangana. “The only thing he secured is a deal with the BJP to save himself from legal troubles in the Vote-for-Note case,” he remarked. He urged the the National Human Rights Commission take suo motu action on the SLBC incident, questioning why the plight of workers trapped for ten days has been ignored.

Former MLA Guvvala Balaraju charged the government with suppressing information about the SLBC accident. He took a jibe at Revanth Reddy, stating that the Chief Minister who talks big about using drones and robots for rescue operations, has failed to even repair a conveyor belt.
