Taking to social media platform X, Rama Rao condemned the police arrests of Group-1 candidates, demanding the immediate release of those arrested. The candidates have been urging the government to reschedule their exams, a demand that has been ignored for a long time.

Will meet you tomorrow either at Ashok Nagar or at Telangana Bhavan

In protest against the State government’s stubborn stance on rescheduling the exams, the candidates, along with unemployed students and youth, had staged a peaceful protest in Ashok Nagar. However, the police under the Congress regime was suppressing the rights of educated youth to express their dissent, he said.

The candidates have filed several cases in the High Court seeking justice on various issues. Despite this, the government is attempting to conduct the Group-1 Mains exams on October 21, using a court ruling as a pretext. The BRS leader questioned the government’s reluctance to reschedule the exams when the students themselves were requesting it.

He slammed the Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, for seeking votes from the youth in Ashok Nagar but ignoring their aspirations once in power. He urged Congress leaders to take note of the undemocratic stance of the State government.
