Hyderabad: BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is all set to address the “Praja Ashirvada Sabha” public meeting at Jagtial on Monday evening. He will also induct senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy and several other Congress leaders into the party, in a major boost to the cadre’s morale.

Chandrashekhar Rao is scheduled to leave his residence in Erravalli at 4.45 pm on Monday and will land at the helipad near the Jagtial Collector’s office. He will then proceed to the party office, where a grand welcome has been planned. An inter-faith prayer involving Hindu, Muslim, and Christian representatives will be held, followed by a meeting with key leaders from the erstwhile Karimnagar district. He will then head to the public meeting venue at Vivekananda Mini Stadium, where he will address the people at around 6 pm.

The rally has generated significant buzz as it marks Chandrashekhar Rao’s first major public meeting in nearly a year. BRS working president KT Rama Rao and senior leader T Harish Rao have overseen arrangements, with over one lakh people being mobilised from across North Telangana. A large number of farmers, youth and women are being mobilised for the public meeting.

Jagtial has been decked in pink banners and arches, reflecting the scale of preparations. People have already started their journey to Jagtial in buses and four-wheelers from places like erstwhile districts of Adilabad, Warangal, Hyderabad and Mahbubnagar to reach their destination on time. The party cadre are scheduled to reach the venue by 3 pm where the party’s cultural teams will entertain them till meeting commences.
