Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao launched one lakh signature campaign in Secunderabad Cantonment to support the excision of civilian areas of the Secunderabad Cantonment and their merger into the neighbouring GHMC, with the drive gathering momentum.

As of now, 85,895 signatures out of one lakh were collected by BRS supporters and leaders within Cantonment limits. Party supporters visited residential colonies and slums, met residents and auto drivers, and collected signatures, SCB BRS senior leader and BRS official spokesperson Manne Krishank told ‘Telangana Today’.

Soon, the signature campaign will reach one lakh. Immense support is being received by people from all walks of life to the SCB merger signature campaign, he said.

Krishank said the BRS launched the signature campaign through QR Code urging the Cantonment residents’ support and that it united all the SCB residents.
