BRS slams Revanth Reddy over farmers’ losses in Telangana
BRS leaders criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, alleging Congress rule weakened public confidence and failed farmers. They highlighted delays in Rythu Bharosa, lack of procurement centres, poor power supply, and irrigation issues, forcing farmers to incur heavy losses
Hyderabad: BRS Whip KP Vivekananda lashed out at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, alleging that Congress rule had eroded the confidence of MLAs and the public alike. Terming Revanth Reddy the most failed Chief Minister, he said the Congress leadership was focusing on personal gains instead of governance.
Speaking at the Assembly media point on Tuesday, Vivekananda said MLAs were unable to face people in their villages due to unfulfilled promises and lack of funds for welfare programmes. He stated that the Congress government’s 99-day Praja Palana-Pragathi Nivedika initiative had also fallen flat due to lack of funds.
BRS MLA K Sanjay said farmers were facing severe hardship due to non-implementation of the Rythu Bharosa scheme for the Yasangi (Rabi) season. Pointing out that maize procurement centres had not been opened, forcing farmers to sell produce at heavy losses, he also complained of inadequate power supply and lack of irrigation water for agriculture.
