Karimnagar: BRS leaders and workers staged demonstrations across the erstwhile Karimangar district on Monday, demanding the State government to provide the promised Rs.15,000 assistance under Rythu Bharosa.
Based on BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s call for a State-wide protest, party activists staged demonstrations in different places of Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jagtial and Rajanna-Sircilla districts. Agitating workers raised slogans against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress government. They alleged that Revanth Reddy, who promised to provide Rs 15000 per acre, betrayed the farming community now by offering only Rs 12000. The true color of the Congress party was exposed once again.
Terming all promises made to the people before elections by the Congress leaders as false, they demanded that both AICC leader Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy, who went back on their promise of Rs 15000 Rythu Bharosa, should apologize to farmers.
Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao, BRS district president GV Ramakrishna Rao, town president Challa Harishankar and others participated in the protest held in Karimnagar town.
