BRS stages protests across erstwhile Medak over arrest of MLAs
BRS leaders and cadres staged rasta rokos across the erstwhile Medak district on Monday, protesting the arrest of party MLAs at the State Assembly. Workers blocked the Rajiv Rahadhari at Ponnala and burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Siddipet: The BRS leaders and cadres staged rasta-rokos at various places across the erstwhile Medak, to mark their protest over the arrest of BRS MLAs at State assembly on Monday.
The BRS workers, who blocked Rajiv Rahadhari at Ponnala in Siddipet on Monday, also burnt the effigy of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy protesting over the undemocratic behaviour of the police. Tension prevailed as police tried to evacuate the protesting BRS cadres.
The BRS cadres raised slogans against the police too. Similar protests were organised across the erstwhile Medak. The BRS MLAs also released press statements over the undemocratic way the MLAs were treated while they were entering the State assembly.
Sangareddy MLA Chintha Prabhakar, Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Zaheerabad MLA K Manik Rao, Dubbak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Narsapur MLA V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy condemned the act of police. Chintha Prabhakar objected to the way the police handled the women MLAs in particular.
