Sangareddy: The BRS cadre staged a silent protest in Jogipet on Wednesday protesting against the Congress government’s decision to file a false case against party working president KT Rama Rao.

The BRS cadre, who gathered in huge numbers at Ambedkar junction in the town, submitted a representation to Dr Ambedkar’s Statue to mark their protest.

Speaking on the occasion, former Andole MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran said the Congress party was acting undemocratically to file cases against Opposition leaders in the State.

Kranthi Kiran said that they carried out the rally to expose the Congress’s autocratic rule. He recalled how the Congress promised to uphold the spirit of democracy ahead of the elections and how it had violated the same now.

The former MLA said the police in the Andole constituency filed multiple cases against the BRS cadre just for fighting on public issues. He demanded that the government withdraw the cases filed on Rama Rao and BRS cadre in Andole.
