BRS strength rises in Bellampally municipality as councillors join party

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) strengthened its position in Bellampally Municipality as Independent and Congress councillors joined the party in the presence of KT Rama Rao. A BJP candidate extended unconditional support without formally joining the BRS.

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), strengthened its position in Bellampally Municipality after a few councillors, including Independents, joined the party in the presence of party working president KT Rama Rao.

Shankar Singh, who contested as an Independent candidate from the 30th ward, and Kumaraswamy, who contested as a Congress candidate from the 26th ward, joined the BRS. Rama Rao welcomed them into the party offering them the party scarf.


In addition, BJP candidate from the 34th ward Ramamurthy met the BRS working president here on Saturday. Though he has not officially joined the BRS, the BJP candidate announced unconditional support to the party.
