Hyderabad: Calling Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari a political opportunist, former MLA Nannapaneni Narender targeted him for his recent statements against BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He said Srihari had no values and shifted loyalties multiple times for personal and political gains.
Addressing a press meet at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, Narender objected to Srihari’s remarks against the BRS chief who earned people’s respect through the Telangana statehood movement and governance. However, he said Srihari who enjoyed key positions in the BRS regime, shifted to the Congress immediately after the latter came to power.
“Except for the Left parties, Srihari switched to all other parties for political power and family interests. Even now, he joined the Congress to make his daughter MP and criticising KCR with his personal ambition to become Minister again in the Congress government,” he said, challenging him to resign to his MLA seat and face bypolls.
Referring to electoral margins in Station Ghanpur, Narender said the gap between Congress and BRS was narrow. He stated that Srihari’s political future remained uncertain as he always sidelined party workers and sought posts for his family members. He demanded that Srihari withdraw his comments and issue a public apology.
