Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) celebrated its Formation Day with festivities across Telangana, marking the completion of 25 years and the beginning of its 26th year. The party cadre erected massive cutouts and banners of the party and its chief K Chandrashekhar Rao in Hyderabad and elsewhere in the State.
From villages to major towns, party cadres organised large-scale events, hoisting the pink flag at local offices and public spaces. Celebrations were marked by bursting of firecrackers, distribution of sweets and rallies by party workers.
Slogans of “Jai Telangana” and “Jai KCR” reverberated across the State as BRS supporters recalled the party’s journey from a movement for statehood to a ruling force that governed Telangana for a decade. The party leaders and cadres took a pledge to rededicate themselves to the reconstruction of the party from the grassroots level. They vowed to bring their party back to power and make the party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao the Chief Minister once again.
In Hyderabad, BRS working president KT Rama Rao hoisted the party flag at the party headquarters in Telangana Bhavan. BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao chaired the State executive committee meeting comprising around 305 leaders, including MPs, MLAs, MLCs, former Ministers and district presidents.
