Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao announced on Tuesday that the party would launch a series of mass agitations against the corrupt and deceptive rule of the Congress government in the State. He charged the Congress government with large-scale deception, betrayal and misrule, which would be exposed during these agitations.

“The Warangal meeting marked the beginning of the end of the Congress government. The BRS is preparing for an extensive phase of agitations across Telangana,” he declared, calling upon the party cadre to intensify their efforts and take the message of the Congress government’s betrayal to every household in Telangana.

At a key meeting with BRS leaders from the erstwhile Warangal district in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Rama Rao lambasted the Congress for failing to deliver on its promises, especially towards farmers and unemployed youth. He castigated the Congress government for dragging the State backwards by two decades.

“This government is a dangerous cocktail of inexperience, greed, fraud and inefficiency. I have never seen such public anger within a year of a government coming to power,” he said.

He announced that BRS would launch large-scale protests and mass public outreach campaigns in the coming days on pressing issues such as farmer suicides, crop loss due to untimely rains, delayed Rythu Bharosa disbursement and irregularities in paddy procurement among others.

“The Congress government has failed to support farmers at every step. We will fight for their rights,” he said.

The BRS working president also flagged the issue of job notifications and appointment irregularities, promising public movements to hold the government accountable. “The Congress is synonymous with deceit. We will go to the people and expose its betrayal and broken promises, by holding village-level meetings to build a strong agitation,” he said.

Terming the recent Elkathurthy public meeting as one of the largest in Telangana’s political history, Rama Rao said it marked a turning point in Telangana politics. “That meeting proved that the BRS remains the heartbeat of Telangana. There is renewed energy among workers and the public to fight against the Congress’s misrule,” he noted.

He thanked BRS leaders and workers for the grand success of the event, calling it a symbol of the party’s discipline and public support. He reiterated that the BRS would lead the resistance against the Congress’s anarchy from villages to the State level, asserting that only the BRS stood as a shield for Telangana’s interests.
