BRS, Youth Congress leaders detained ahead of Revanth Reddy’s Nalgonda visit
Police detained several BRS leaders and a few Youth Congress leaders across the erstwhile Nalgonda district ahead of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's visit. The BRS had planned protests over pending job promises, while some Youth Congress workers reportedly intended to raise local political demands.

Nalgonda: Ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to the district on Sunday, many Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and even a few youth Congress leaders, have been arrested at different places in the erstwhile district.
BRS Corporator from sixth division Kandaru Praveen Reddy, 24th division Corporator G Rajashekhar Goud, BRS Minority wing youth president Owais Shah, Mohd Qasim, Beri Nagaraju and a few others have been placed arrested.
Similarly, the BRS Students wing had given a call to obstruct the Chief Minister’s visit in protest against the Congress Government’s failure to fulfill the promises made to youth, especially job notifications.
But, Miryalguda II town police had taken a few BRSV wing leaders into custody at 4 am on Sunday.
Municipal Floor Leader Iliyas Khan and BRSV State Secretary Mohd Shoaib slammed the Congress government.
The BRS was staging a protest in a democratic manner but the Congress government was detaining our leaders. Tall claims were being made by the Congress government in protecting the democratic values but in contrast opposition leaders were being targeted and arrested illegally, they charged, according to reports.
In a interesting development at Munugode, the police arrested a Youth Congress leader Jangili Nagaraju early in the morning.
Along with opposition parties leaders, he was picked up and shifted to police station.
After learning that efforts were being made a few youth Congress leaders to stage protest with placards at the Chief Minister’s programmes for failing to induct Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy into the cabinet, the police detained a few youth Congress leaders, reports said.
