Adilabad: Activists of BRSV were arrested when they were inspecting a minority residential school in Echoda mandal centre as part of Gurukula Bata programme on Monday.
BRSV district president Dharani Rajesh and coordinator Butti Shiva Kumar said that they were inspecting the quality of food served to students at the school during their visit.
They told the students to share their problems if any by contacting helpline number 8522044336. However, they were arrested by police and shifted to Echoda police station.
Rajesh opined that preventing the activists from visiting the schools was an undemocratic act. He stated that the government was trying to suppress the activists using the police. He said that people would teach a lesson to the government for adopting anti-public policies soon.
